2020-2021 has been an unprecedented time for cycling and walking... National responses to COVID, driven partly by DfT-funded Active Travel monies and partly by necessity, have shown us how much, and how quickly, behaviours and thinking can change. And now, as the imminent threats from the pandemic recede, concerns about rapid climate change and the need for urgent action on transport decarbonisation are taking their place.
